That quote was also going through the mind of new mum Sophia when she was shopping around for nursing covers. Disappointed with the quality and print of the fabrics in our local stores, she went digging on the Internet. Sophia found plenty of perfect ones in the U.S. but shipping costs were “ridiculous”! That’s when she decided to sew her own nursing covers to cater to the Malaysian market. Sophia joined forces with a friend, Hasliza and came up with Kyla Nat Cover a few months ago.
Named after Sophia’s 16-month-old daughter, Kyla Nat Cover supplies a wide array of cotton covers with fun and funky prints for all you chic mums out there. The team sources out and handpicks material from fabric print suppliers then sews them all by hand. Because they’re all handmade, each cover is one-of-a-kind.
There are two types of covers at Kyla Nat Cover: Kyla Nat Cover Organic is toxic-free cotton that’s suitable for sensitive baby skin; and Kyla Nat Cover Premium is 100% cotton, which makes it extremely soft, light and breathable. Both ranges retail at RM150 a pop. If you can’t decide between their lovely prints, choose a cover from ‘Our Picks’, which features the team’s personal favourites.
All covers measure at 27″ x 35.5″ with an adjustable strap and buckle. Their rigid neckline allows mum and baby to maintain eye contact so they can continue to bond while breastfeeding on the go.
